Sophisticated Outdoor Rehearsal Dinner Party

No one says that rehearsal dinners have to be held at a restaurant. Take advantage of the beautiful summer weather as an excuse to take the party outside.

  • Venue: First, find an outdoor venue for your rehearsal dinner. Ideally, someone in the wedding party or a parent of the bride or groom would have a large enough backyard for your party. If not, explore other options such as parks and golf courses.
  • Vendors: If you are able to find an outdoor party venue, hire a catering service and arrange party rentals to handle the food and rentals, respectively. The catering company will provide the food, alcohol, and table settings. They will also take care of the serving and clean-up. A party rental company can provide tables, chairs, chair covers, linens, and anything else you may need. The only part you will be responsible for is the decorations!
  • Decorations: Candles and/or flower arrangements will make for a beautiful rehearsal dinner centerpiece. To add to the ambiance of the night, wrap strings of white lights around the trees and have the soft sounds of classical music playing in the background.

If you're concerned about weather for your rehearsal dinner but still like the idea of hosting an outdoor rehearsal dinner, order a tent from the party rental company. Just because you order the tent doesn't mean that you need to use it. If you find closer to your event that the weather will be perfect, don't even bother to set it up!
