Three Fantastic Father's Day Celebrations

Show Dad appreciation for all he does throughout the year and give him the option of one of three fantastic Father’s Day celebrations. Plan the Father’s Day celebration based on Dad’s favorite interests. For example, rugged dads will enjoy time in the wilderness, while dads who are sports fans will cherish a day at the ball park. For the dads in your life you won't get to see, send thoughtful free Father's Day ecards to let them know you're thinking of them!
Here are three Father’s Day celebration ideas you can present to your dad. Let him choose which one he'd like best, then you can execute the one he chooses.
  • Camping Trip: Plan an “outdoorsy” camping trip for the Dad who is a fan of the wilderness. Pack the essential items, which includes a tent, sleeping bags, clothing, food, items to build a fire, activities and first aid supplies. Visit your local camping supply store to purchase the necessities for your trip. Think of a special surprise for Dad in advance of Father’s Day that will take place during the camping trip. Great ideas include a day of fishing or a white water rafting adventure.
  • Sports Game: Treat Dad to a fun-filled day of sports for Father’s Day. Surprise him with tickets to a baseball game. Purchase the tickets far in advance to ensure a seat in Dad’s favorite section of the ball park. Get creative, and make signs to hold up during the game. Write, “Happy Father’s Day to the Best Dad in the World” or “I Have the Best Dad.”
  • Cookout: Organize a Father’s Day cookout to celebrate Dad! Invite family, friends and especially other dads to the party. Hire a local caterer to assist with a large crowd. Make the day all about Dad, and schedule surprise activities throughout the cookout. For example, purchase a scratch ticket for every Dad to scratch during the cookout. Another idea is to have a drawing and award prizes such as tickets to a sports game, an electronic device such as a MP3 player or a gift card to a local restaurant. All Dads are different, so select a celebration that best suits the special father in your life. Plan a day with a private chef if Dad is a great cook. Another idea for those dads that love to garden is to visit a local nursery, treat Dad to plants of his choice and then spend the day in the garden. At the end of the day the one thing Dad will enjoy most is to spend time with you!
