Reasons to Celebrate This Spring
A great way to celebrate the start of a brand new spring season is to host a fun party! There are many reasons to celebrate spring besides the end of winter, so host an upbeat party with friends, family, and co-workers to celebrate. Any one of the reasons below will make for a great day!
Baseball Opening Day: With the start of spring brings the start of a new baseball season. This family-friendly sport is the perfect way to bring family and friends together to celebrate. Time your party with your favorite team’s Opening Day and cheer them on. Provide ballpark-themed food including Cracker Jacks, peanuts, and hotdogs. A baseball-decorated cake is perfect for dessert; and don’t forget refreshments like soda or juice for the kids and beer for the adults. Decorate with your favorite team’s colors and use baseball cards as coasters. If you don’t have a favorite team or want to stay neutral, stick with a red, white and blue theme. Use streamers, banners, and tablecloths to make the party feel festive! Have the opening day game on television, but also provide a baseball or whiffle ball game in the backyard to keep the kids entertained.
End of tax season: Everyone enjoys the end of tax season! Once it’s over, it’s definitely worth throwing a party to relieve the stress of the season. This should be a relaxing event, where friends and co-workers can mingle and forget life’s daily stresses. Provide finger foods, sandwiches, beer, wine, and other inexpensive food options. Fake money confetti and tax-themed Mad Libs will have your guests laughing and enjoying the lighthearted get-together.
Spring Fever: Did spring weather arrive a little late this year? If you are impatiently waiting for warmer weather, your friends and family probably are too! Host a Spring Fever party to get in the mood for the approaching season. Use bright colors in all of the drinks and decorations to put your guests in a great mood. Fresh flowers make the perfect decoration, along with brightly colored streamers and tablecloths. Play upbeat music to get your guests in the party spirit!
Earth Day: Host an Earth Day party to celebrate Mother Earth and remind your guests how important the planet is! Use recycled materials to make adorable decorations – recycle used jars and use them as glasses, or use newspapers as tablecloths. As party favors, give out small potted plants or tree seedlings that guests can plant in their own yard. Make sure the plates and napkins you use are made from recycled materials. Keep with the spring theme and serve carrot sticks with hummus and ranch dip, organic chips, flower-shaped cookies, and fresh fruit.
